Hello all! My name Sašo Luznar and Im a Point of Contact for Slovenia. Brief history before getting to know The Venus Project. I was born and raised in Ljubljana, graduated high school and started working. Some of the jobs I worked include: washing cars, security, electrical boxes manufacturing, military and owning an automobile polishing company. Currently Im working in security and have 2 years left on my army reserve contract. Going on a 6 month mission to Kosovo, was the begining of times of change for me. Seeing the misery and becoming aware that Im not making any substancial difference was the start. I saved some money and after returning home I went traveling the Western US with my friend from LA. This helped me see that there are good people and interesting places all over the world and my country, in that regard, was not special. The months away also helped me get over some of my personal problems and bring them into perspective. Shortly after I returned home, a friend of mine sent me a YT link with the note:Check this guy out, he is incredible. After that 10 minute clip of Jacque I was dumbfounded and went to find more stuff. I had a problem with a lot of what he was saying - especially about military, sports and some nothing things I was engaged in But he seemed to be right in so many things, that it got me to re-examine a lot of my erroneous notions. I started to learn about how the world works, about scientific method, environmental concerns and especially about our old and obviously unsustainble social structures. After a couple of monts I wanted to get involved, learn more and help create a better world. Without any formal academic education, it seemed the best possible way to do that, is to try and work toward a Resource Based Economy. I became a POC and tried to do as much as I could both localy and globaly. We need more people to help us!
