Hello friends. I want to update you on my condition. I will be having surgery (on my left foot to rebuild my arch) on Wednesday (sept 24), after that I will be having to keep my leg up and not be very active. I had a meeting with the Dr. doing the operation, and things should be fine, but, it is very important that I follow plan for recovery. So, just to let you know I will be out of commission most likely through Oct 10th, at that point I have a meeting with the Dr. and he should put a cast on the foot and I will be back to where I have been since July, non-weight bearing and a cast. The cast will stay on until sometime in November. The hope is that I will be well on the road to recovery in November. I am naturally nervous about my recovery, since I am diabetic there is extra worry. the good news is that my diabetic condition is under control… I have really made strides to control my blood sugar, I hope that will help me through the recovery. I am not at all pleased to have to spend 2 weeks on my butt, however, it is what needs to happen, I really want to get back to full time playing. Anyway, I hope this hasn’t been to personal… thanks for your friendship and support. CTB
