Help! Running a Dell Inspiron 530 PC with Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. I dont have an audio interface as such, the recordings I do are only rough demos of songs for self-analysis. I use an Alesis USB Guitar Link to record guitars/bass, use a Takstar GL-100 USB Mic and program the drums, and the ASIO4All 2.10 Sound Driver. Lately when Im opening Studio One up, the fan in the PC goes nuts, to the point where it makes recording using the microphone hopeless. Between the bleeding from the fan and the fact that the latency on the recording goes to hell. I always record using a buffer size of either 128 or 256 kbps. Yet where I used to have no problem recording using these settings(and nothings changed since then apart from the physical location of the PC) Anyone know how to get past this?
