Here are things I have learned as a mom of sons: I spend quite a bit of time trying to figure out how I can be super involved in their life. The little kids are easier than the teenager and I miss my teenager being that little. I also have experience with one that has graduated and I know how fast the time moves so I know the clock is ticking and my time to enjoy the 15 year old is quickly slipping through my fingers. I am trying to grab ahold of every moment that could potentially be a memory. This makes me think of all the other moms of sons that I know. I dont have girls. Im not really sure how to interact with many girls anymore...sad to say. When I think of all of our boys I have to say that I have enjoyed my new job in the library at the high school. Many of these kids I have worked with at Hogg or watched grow up from preschool with my own son. I cannot believe that some are freshmen, sophmores, juniors, and even seniors that will be graduating. All of your boys are turning into awesome young men and their humor, conversation, manners, and daily hello Mrs. Strockbine! really make my day. Its just as hard for moms of boys as it is for dads of girls who feel confused on how to develop that relationship and hope they are suceeding. I am not meaning to leave anyone out, but I want to let you know you ALL are doing such such a great job! Us moms need to hear that!
