Here come da judge, here come da judge! Two of Dancing with the Needham Stars Judges will be Jim Healy and Seana Gaherin! Jim Healy Jim Healy is a Needham native, former trial attorney, and now works at the University of Massachusetts Medical School as Associate Vice Chancellor for Management. Jim is currently a Memorial Park Trustee, having previously served 7 years on Needham’s Board of Selectmen and 7 years with the Finance Committee. As a Town official, Jim participated in the planning, funding, and completion of various new construction and renovation projects, including our new Senior Center. Jim also worked on the Town’s budgeting process, debt management policies, the Fields of Dreams project, and most recently, the Fallen Brave monument at Memorial Park. Jim is a visiting lecturer and Mock Trial coach at the College of the Holy Cross and he also serves on Needham Bank’s Advisory Council and the Richard Patton Melick Foundation. Jim is a graduate of Needham High School, Holy Cross and Suffolk Law School. He and his wife Elizabeth have three children – their older daughter Grace is a kindergarten teacher at the Mitchell School, and their son, Will, and younger daughter, Annie, are college students. Jim proudly judged in the 1st “Dancing with the Stars” program as part of Needham’s Tercentennial Celebration and returns now because of his strong commitment to charitable Needham causes. He looks forward to watching our Needham stars and rewarding those dancers who show passion and risk-taking – without hurting themselves. Jim challenges all of us to make this fundraising effort truly historical. Seana Gaherin Restaurant /Publican 21 years running Dunn Gaherins. Chairman of the Board Newton Needham Chamber of Commerce, Board Member Restaurant Business Alliance, avid golfer, civic committed, crazy about keeping communities together, love all sports, love to dance. Love people, love working, love owning a business with a native Needham boy Bobby Dunn, who is a former Needham High athlete and teacher for 14 years. Most of all loves life! Seana is the 2013 winner of Dancing with the Needham Stars.
