Here is a trick that will cost you nothing and has helped my hunting tremendously. I use milkweeds as wind indicators. They work better than anything out there because you can watch them for a long distance and really learn what the wind is doing. Here are some I picked today that need to dry but I always have a good supply ready to go. I just lay them out on a board or something until they dry out and crack open and then store in a paper bag. I made a little dispenser from a film can that works pretty good or you can just carry a couple pods on your pocket. Dont be shy with these, they are free and can teach you a lot about how the wind works.
