Here is the custom Scotch cabinet that my friend Neil Womelduff made for Jason and I. The frame is Walnut and Curly Maple with internal veneered Mahogany panels and external Quilted Maple veneered panels. The back is Curly Cherry and the shelves are Quartersawn White Oak. The hardware is solid brass screws and SOSS hidden brass hinges. The cabinet is secured to the wall by a custom inset mortise and tenoned Oak frame that utilizes an inset cleat. The knobs were turned by cabinetmaker Grover Buddy Floyd of Erwin, Tennessee. The stag at the crown of the cabinet is a Seaforth Highlanders cap badge from ~1914. The cap badge will eventually be replaced by a custom Sterling Silver engraved Stag made by Roddy MacLellan. Thank you Neil for your excellent craftsmanship. We love the cabinet. Everyone is welcome to stop by for a dram (or two) of Scotch and checkout Neils work.
