Heres a wonderful note from our sister Rotary Club of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua on @ofallonsunriser partnership on a dictionary project! Big KUDOS to our International Team for their dedication! #wearerotary --------------- Hey guys hope all is well in Springfield. I got back from Miami with my family after 3 weeks of visiting and hit the ground running. I was able to participate in one of the final distributions of the dictionaries. We have two schools left that are actually in another municipality and will be done when the mobile library goes there (they go once a month). The whole project was a great success. It united our club, activated members, made a great presence in the community, and we got to collaborate with your club. The fist of many I hope and a VERY BIG THANKS from all of us down here. Be assured that your donation made a great impact in our young club and the community. The students and teachers where sooo grateful and I believe this is going to be an emblematic project for the club as we establish our presence in the municipality. From my perspective this is the best part of the project. Driving through jungle roads to reach remote schools and hand out gifts to kids is amazing fun. Hope some of you can join us for this. Speaking of please let me know in advance of your next trip so we can schedule a day or two of rural touring so you can see more of this beautiful country. More pictures to come in this album as I gather them. We were joined in the effort by some members of a Club from Metz, France. A family that are very active rotarians and will be moving down here to start an eco-lodge. Lots of great stuff happening here and we are very open to collaborate on future projects. We are putting together a water filter project for the schools you may be interested in. We are gathering the list and defining it currently.
