Heres another one out of my photo archive from several years back. I received the first Dragonslayer .50 caliber air rifle that came into the USA, and set about testing with various ammo. The gun really liked the Hornady roundball, The target shown was 5 shots at 75 yards (the orange sticker is size of a quarter). Got out to the woods and found a decent sized herd of hogs with a very pronounced Russian look to them. Worked my way in to set up an ambush, and as the first hog popped out from behind a tree, nailed him in the head. He dropped and flopped, then stood and stumbled behind the tree and out of view. I cycled the gun and reloaded another roundball... I wont go into detail, but what I thought was a coup de grace turned out to be a second pig. Lots of hams and bacon was distributed to friends after this hunt. I came away with the opinion that the Dragonslayer though very accurate, did not offer enough power for these big tenacious porkers out of the box. Later I had the gun tuned and took a few deer before bringing it over for some smaller antelope in South Africa. Not my favorite big game gun, but a great choice for predators and small antelope.
