I do understand the problem with parking in the area and our officers have been looking at ways this can be resolved. Although we have received a substantial offer from a developer for the old car park area we have to weigh this against the needs of the community. The report that is going to committee on Monday is proposing a 2 month delay in the decision on the car park; this will enable us to continue our discussions with the District Council, the Leisure Centre and the post 16 Centre in order to bring about a satisfactory solution to the issue.
