Hey Guys, Hope you are all well. Today, I was in the studio recording a new 6 week series called 6 Weeks To The Next Level. store.drcloud/business-skills/six-weeks-to-the-next-level.html One of the segments I was recording had to do with figuring out if you are ready to make a change in some area or not. Here is one of the thoughts: This is an important question because many people will commit to a change program, such as a resolution to do something new or change a pattern, and they really are not ready to commit. Research shows that if they are not ready, they are way less likely to succeed. So, they set themselves up for failure. There is nothing wrong with not being ready, but you do need to acknowledge where you are and do what is needed for that step. Instead of committing and having a false start, think about a few questions: 1. Why do I want to make this change? 2. Is the change to end something that I dont like or is painful? Or is the change to add something good to my life, and attain something that I desire? Or, is it both? 3. Am I ready to pay the price to make it different? It is important to keep those in front of you and make sure you have truly gone through the positives and negatives of making the change, and are very clear about whether or not you want to do it. Look it square in the eye, and face the truth of what it will be like if you dont, a month, 6 months, or a year from now, and what it will be like if you do. Are you willing to live with that? If you are in the thinking about changing stage, that is great. Just do not make a false start if that is where you are. But if you are ready, then it is time to get going!!!! Another tip is to ask people who know you well whether they think you are really ready or not.....sometimes they can see what we cant! Cheers, Henry
