Hey, members, just a word please... I have a friend who owns a local business. She bought it from another owner and has made several changes to the business. Its not easy being a small business owner but I see it like this; Any local business, that is keeping our revenue local and providing a local service while offering local jobs, is a GOOD THING. However, its hard to please everyone. On one of the other local fb groups there is a lot of bad mouthing of local businesses. I think this is a terrible thing. I am not a member of said fb page. Yes, business owners NEED any feedback that can be offered but, we need it in a constructive way. And if its not something that can be changed, the public needs to understand that not everyone can be pleased. This friend, had a client that she was unable, though she made many attempts, to please, go on her business fb page and type and post her rant. Now, while fb is great for feedback, its very upsetting and hurtful to a business for people to post half truths and slander a business. There is always a phone you can reach them on or a private message options. We as a community need to build up and support our local business owners and give constructive criticism when we see there is a need. I stay pretty quiet on here but, I really feel strongly about this. There may or may not be businesses that I am or am not happy with, but it will never be slandered on a public forum. Our small businesses are how we provide for our families. And how we buy christmas presents for our children and how we financially contribute to our spouses. Its not just a fun hobby and we need our communitys support. Thanx, for reading my rant. Pay it forward: go to a local business fb page, any one, and give it a review and maybe an encouraging comment. :) aaaahhhhh
