Hi Everyone, We have exciting news about Easter the orphaned - TopicsExpress

Hi Everyone, We have exciting news about Easter the orphaned foal who most of you will have been following. He is now a strong healthy little man and the Vets are very pleased with his progress. However he has failed to bond with our mare, Tilly and still sees himself as a human! This means that crucial learning through play with other foals and lessons taught by his mum are being missed. The potential for this to lead to sever behavioural difficulties as he grows older are a big concern. Seeing Easter so full of energy with only humans to play with is quite heart-breaking and he has to keep himself amused by leaping around and playing with his toys, because when he tries to play with us it becomes rather dangerous! However we have been offered help by Bransby Horses which we are over the moon about. They also rescued a poor foal from a muddy ditch by the side of a road just one week before we rescued Easter. His name is Moses and he too thinks he is a human and is desperate for a playmate. Bransby have kindly offered to take Easter in to their care and pal him up with Moses so that they can hopefully bond, play and grow together and finally realise that they are horses, not humans! Although we will miss Easter like mad and it has not been a decision we have taken lightly, we simply cant refuse Easter this fantastic chance of a happy future. Easter will be moving to Bransby this weekend, we will be taking lots of photos and cant wait to update all his fans of his progress. For all the kind people who have donated rugs, feed and milk we will be sending all of his belongings with him to Bransby. All the funds donated towards his recovery have been greatly appreciated and has given him access to the very best vets care and feeding, so you are all to thank for him making such an amazing recovery! bransbyhorses.co.uk/news/news-recent.html#moses
