Hi Family, this post begins my unveiling of the apostle vs the apostolic prophet. The key to what unravels and orders the prophetic begins with what it truly is. Is it merely an information center or is it an institution dating back to the world foundation? The unprophetic or new prophet would say its all about the prophesying. For them, declaring spiritual information is the prophetics sole function. If indeed that is true, and the prophetic is exclusively based on verbalizing, then once information from Gods mouth enters the planet the prophesier has no more duty to His word. They just speak it and let the chips fall where they may. Prophetic guardians though, will say theres much more and show it. They know how one recognizes and appoints prophets reveals a lot about those who anoint and appoint them. The guardians understand the more casual and haphazard the placement practice, the lower the regard for the prophetics purpose and value to the Lord. Sometimes, it is a simply lack of knowledge. Strong experiences with God inspire great care and motivates cautious prophetic protections. It also promotes fierce defense of this age old resource. Howd we get here? Several decades back, leaders and teachers wanted to release God to speak when, where, and through whom He willed. They launched a spiritual gift training initiative for Him to do so that opened prophesying to all. God however, never meant for that to take the place of the office, which is what happened. Back then, He wished to expand His spiritual resources, not defunct a very crucial long standing office. Ye may all prophesy meant to hasten Gods word not discredit or eliminate His prophetic institution. So, if there is more to the prophetic as God ordained, and He uses prophets to do more than speak for Him, a host of other factors exist that could drastically transform how the modern version of this ancient office is discharged.
