Hi, everyone, I wanted to bring to your attention the meeting that will be taking place this Tuesday, October 8th in City Council. As part of the agenda, Council will be addressing the current regulations of home-based businesses. As you may or may not be aware, some home-based businesses are being "targeted" for non-compliance with bylaw regulations that many business owners (myself included) would consider unfair and overly restrictive to home-based business. Footprints Harvest may be impacted by this meeting, and as supporters of local businesses, I would invite you all to come out and show your support for Footprints Harvest as well as the other many businesses who are already being affected, or who are at risk of being selectively targeted. I do not want to impose my viewpoints on anyone, but rather to make you aware that this is happening right now in our city, I am not going to allow this to happen quietly, especially if it means that we and many other local businesses would no longer be able to provide our valuables services to you and the other citizens of Merritt. Please spread the word if this is something that is important to you, and contact us if you would like to see the relevant document from City Council. I will try to post it on this page.
