Hi everyone! Sorry I have not been on all week. It has been an eventful, not so fun time for me. First on Wednesday my kneecap slipped out of place after I feel off the couch. Daddy took me to the vet and they gave me an anti-inflammatory and some joint strengtheners. It would slip out occasionally but I was ok. Even thought the dr told me no explosive movements I still ran like crazy and jumped on the couch. Even when Mama told me not to! She said Id get hurt. Well, last night I was chasing Mama when she had a piece of cheese. She sat on the couch so I ran after her to get some. I tried to run up the doggie steps and I missed one, slamming into them with my paw and elbow. It hurt so bad I screamed and cried and could not stop. I was so loud I hurt everybodys ears but I didnt know what else to do. My humans rushed me to the doggie ER where they sedated me and took X-rays of me. Turns out I fractured my paw and broke my elbow. I must have been running really fast! So now I am in this awful tiger striped splint until I can see an orthopedic surgeon on Tuesday. They say I must have surgery to fix it since I am so little. I am a little scared because the ER dr said if the surgery is unsuccessful they may need to amputate my leg! I didnt know what it meant but Mama did and she cried and cried. I am only 8 months old and have my whole life ahead of me. I know if it comes to that I will be ok but Mama loves when I wave to her with my 2 front paws. I hope you will keep me in your prayers. I had a rough time sleeping last night and everyone has had to carry me around all day since I am not allowed to put pressure on my leg. It makes me sad because I see my friends outside go for walks and I cant do it. If all goes well with the surgery I will still need my Tigger splint as Mama calls it was 6-8 weeks. Id better heal fast so I can wear my first Halloween costume! Anyway, Mama will try to keep you posted and here are some pictures of me in my splint. Love and kisses to you all!
