History of Ontario Hydro https://canadaenergy.ca/ontario-hydro This is a history regarding the beginning of Ontario Hydro 1885 -1998 In 1885, after several disputes, a British decision affirmed the Provinces rights over a majority of the Canadian hydro flow at Niagara Falls. This decision effectively confirmed the Provinces jurisdiction over the entire electricity market From that point on all assets built and developed to provide electricity by the government using tax dollars was done for the public. Hey everybody remember who the public is thats us. Our tax dollars built the Hydro that we use in Ontario. Now what should be free to every tax payer in Ontario is sold to us, every month by way of a bill, be it Hydro one or any other company supplying power to us. Now get your head around that one, and tell me that our government is not running a conspiracy to the public. We are the owners of the services they render and if you take the time to read definitions of the corporations they state owned by the public and the government. Is OPG owned by the government or is it a private company? OPG is a commercial company withasests and is 100 percent owned by the province of Ontario. Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is a public company wholly owned by Government of Ontario. So in essence unless we the people stand up and take back what we own we might as well shut up or give up.
