Hockey and the Sultan Azalan Shah Cup...well Malaysia came out - TopicsExpress

Hockey and the Sultan Azalan Shah Cup...well Malaysia came out second...and thats fine. If you saw the way Malaysia played against Australia this evening you would have been proud of them as compared to just 2 years ago. This evening they had stamina, goals in their mind and literally a determination otherwise referred to as a mental strength that was missing 2 years ago. And they struggled full time with the mighty cockaburras looking for that next goal for the full duration of the game. The score was 8 to 3 ....but it was no shame becoz Malaysia has found the determination to win. That, mental strength is the missing ingredient (in my opinion) for succes for Malaysian sport. The average age of the team is 22 years. So there is a while longer to exploit that potential. Coach Dharmaraj and Consultant Paul Revington have put together a formidable team. From this evenings performance i am looking forward to see them play at the Hockey World Cup later this year. Yabadabado!!
