Holiday Christmas Parade Alex, Nick, Lisa and I have been talking about the Christmas parade, and we thought it might be fun to do more than just light up our vehicles and show up to the parade. What we’re thinking is this: My Squareback is red and has a cool roof rack. I thought she would make a great sled. I have a big Santa I can put on the roof. The car in front (Lisa’s Ghia) would be Rudolph. I have car antlers and a plan for a lighted red nose. The next cars in the line-up would be the bugs (and any other squares or ghias that might join us) – all as reindeers with antlers. I bought a bunch of car antlers because apparently they sell out quickly. Any we don’t use can be returned. (They were only $11 a pair). We can have the car’s names on them if we’d like – sort of like the Reindeer’s names. Nick was thinking we could find a way to connect the cars somehow – like reins. After the reindeer would be my car - the sled with Santa. Lisa came up with the idea that all of the busses follow behind the sled - decorated like gifts. They are the perfect shape, after all! Lisa and I are trying to figure out how to do inexpensive, large bows. You could do just a bow, or as Nick suggested – “wrap” your bus to make it look even more like a gift box, or add ribbon to the bow. THEN there’s Brandon’s Battle Wagon! Brandon – I understand the Battle Wagon doesn’t do lights – but would you be willing to have a passenger who is wearing a Grinch mask? I think it would be fun to have the Grinch “chasing” us and the Battle Wagon would be the perfect vehicle for it. Please let me know what you think of this idea. If you’re planning on being a part of the parade – please let us know if you’d be up for this. Also – I don’t know what everyone drives – so if you could please let me know what vehicle type you would be driving so we can make sure we have enough ribbons/antlers, etc. We’d still want you to decorate your vehicle with lights, if you can. We’d really like to stand out this year! Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts and ideas. Finally - lets fill up those remaining spots! Who else wants to join us?
