Home Headlines Changala’s Application for Sata’s Medical Board Dismissed HEADLINES Changala’s Application for Sata’s Medical Board Dismissed Nse Udoh | July 11, 2014 | 7 Lusaka High Court judge Isaac Chali has dismissed civil rights activist Brebnar Changala’s application for a writ of mandamus to compel Cabinet to set up a medical board and ascertain President Michael Sata’s health as hopeless. Judge Chali made the application this afternoon stating the application was frivolous, vexatious and hopeless to the extent of not requiring further inquiry at a substantive inquiry. President Sata had been confined to State House and Israel for 21 days without making any public appearance after showing signs of failing health resulting into Changala’s application. “Can the applicant be said to have a reasonable and sufficient personal interest in the issue. I don’t think so,” stated Judge Chali. “On the contrary, he has impressed me as a kind of a busybody Lord Diplock spoke of in the IRC I have cited, one who appears to have a ‘misguided or trivial complaint of administrative error’.” READ THE FULL JUDGEMENT HERE SATA.11.July.14 Share on facebookShare on twitterShare on emailShare on pinterest_shareMore Sharing Services 1
