Hopefully people now finally wakenening up to the 70 years of injustice in palestine will bear in mind that in ireland, in the basque country and in many other countries, injustice prevails. Israel has administrative detention. The irish face both internment by remand and membership charges, north and south. The basques are held hundreds of miles from home, in both french and spanish prisons. In many cases, the basques are being held for membership of a political party, which was deemed to be illegal by a foreign occupier. Injustice comes in all shapes and sizes. We must face down all injustice, we must not be selective. It should not have taken the murder of children for people to mobilise. Whilst deplorable, it is certainly not the only case of senseless murder. Farmers and fishermen in gaza and rafa have, for years, ran a gauntlet of death and misery in order to provide for their family. We must remember that this is a 70 year old plantation. We must remember that like in ireland and in the north of america this is a cultural purification process. Many will say this is a humanitarian, and not a political, issue. The mistreatment of irish republican pows in maghaberry is also a humanitarian issue. The miscarriage of justice carried out against the craigavon two is a humanitarian issue. We must be aware and challenge all injustice. If you tremble with indignation at every injustice, then you are a comrade of mine Che Guevara.
