Horncastle 1 v 3 United The United moved into the next round of the Lincs Junior Cup after an impressive team performance against a strong Horncastle side. Prolific striker Paul Watts marked his return to the side with the opening goal with a cool finish then Andy Reeson doubled the lead lobbing the ball over the on-rushing keeper from 25 yards. It was an enthralling first 45 minutes with United just having the edge. The second half began with Ollie Johnson firing home within 5 minutes of the restart which led to a period of pressure from the home side. However, United weathered the storm creating several chances to add to their lead before Sean Chamberlains rampaging run ended with him cutting inside and coolly slotting the ball past Wood. With their tails up United dominated the final 10 minutes & only some last ditch defending kept the score down. So United progressed into the next round of the competition with the draw set to take place on Monday. Man of the Match: Adam Broom
