How Muslim votes are decided at the eleventh hour Mufti Aijaz Arshad Qasmi, the youngest member of Muslim Personal Law Board, explains Pamphlets and leaflets faking messages from the Sangh Parivar, with photos of the tallest figures that Muslims are believed to hate, are printed in large numbers. Before the Delhi Assembly election, for example, photos of Narendra Modi and Mohan Bhagwat were used in Okhla village. The message proclaims things as spine-chilling as massacre of Muslims in case the BJP comes to power. These are circulated in the ghettos a day before the election. Those distributing the devious literature tell the residents which party to vote. The next day, the scared Muslim populace makes a beeline at the booths to vote en masse for the party that appears to be the most formidable opponent of the BJP. In December, they had urged the people to vote for the Congress.
