How can I improve my art? the number one question I am asked over and over. I wish i could send you a bottle of pixie dust and once you pour it over you, you will be a great draftsman. Unfortunately this is not realistic. What is realistic is finding the time to invest in yourself and draw a lot. But, it is also important to make sure you are observing and drawing the right things so that you are not just repeating the same habits over and over that may not move you forward. Life drawing was essential for me, it freed me, gave me the ability to draw naturally. Beyond life drawing I would copy Jack, kirby poses as well as Frank Frazetta in order for me to learn action when i was not getting that from a model. So recently I had an idea, for my school, why not re-create live Jack Kirby poses using a style movement artist that I had the pleasure of meeting recently. It is going to be one night of the artist being able to move around the stage in a 360 degrees drawing life poses based off Jack Kirbys art.
