A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack commenced about 4 hours ago on at least one of my ethanbearman sites and continues as I write. Because it is distributed, meaning the traffic comes from all over the world, it is very difficult to track the source of the botnet attacking. They are attempting to actually hack the Wordpress site using a repetitive script. Because of the large number of simultaneous attempts from various locations, it can have the effect of overwhelming the servers and bandwidth available.
