How many definitions does the word LOVE have? My hypothesis ,the kiswahili language is the only language that i know that has two words that mean love giving completely 2 different meanings to Love. 1Upendo-is the love between people not out of passion or emotional attachment but out of something in our hearts that God put in us.The kind of love that Jesus loved us with,The kind of love that missionaries have,the kind of Love that you have for that stranger who is in distress that youassist without any strings attached.The kind of love that the good samaritan had for a victim of robbers.The kind of love that is not attached to anything physical .The kind of love that never dies.The kind of Love that Jesus talked about. The kind of love that you and me should have. 2.Mapenzi-The passionate kind between a girlfriend and a boy friend have,driven by emotions,love that expects something in return.Love that sometimes we fall out of.Love that is driven by something you can see and touch.Love that sometimes dissapoints.Love that sometimes dies.Love that the world talks about in the movies,in soap operas,in theaters,in magazines and books.Love that you and me yearn for.Love that the world loves. Just thinking....... What do you think?
