Human Resources Management Positions-Union City GA- ROLE DESCRIPTION HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER Summary: Directly responsible for the overall leadership, administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function at the Quality Associates manufacturing plant. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Assists in formulation of Human Resource policies and objectives on behalf of the plant. • Recommends Human Resources policies, programs, and practices on behalf of the plant, • Monitors performance appraisal programs, employee benefit programs and services to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale. • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources function (e.g. OSHA, EEO, and Wage & Hour). Monitors risk and exposure of the plant with regard to legal requirements. Directs or assists in the preparation of information requested or required for compliance where appropriate. Proactively trains managers and supervisors to limit legal exposure to claims and charges. Approves recommendations for terminations. Reviews employee appeals through complaint procedure. • Prepares and proposes changes to job descriptions. • Maintains the HRIS database including attendance, benefits, report writing, new hire entry, and training entry and progress. • Manages the ongoing documentation of the site rewards and recognition systems. • Organizational planning that evaluates structure, job design, and manpower forecasting throughout the company. Communicates foreseeable fluctuations in staffing needs to temporary staffing vendor. • Periodically reviews overtime usage and monitors for compliance and cost containment. • Follows standard recruiting and placement practices and procedures including practices for interviewing, making job offers, verifying candidate’s qualifications to ensure they meet QA’s requirements and conducting new hire orientation. • Oversees local in-house training programs that address company and plant needs (e.g., EEO Compliance, new hire orientation) Presents the training program and requested supporting documentation during customer audits. • Prepares monthly scorecard for training completion rates. • Conducts exit interviews. • Calculates monthly and annual turnover rates; identifies and tracks departmental areas of concern and focuses on retention methods. • Responds to requests for information including: employment verifications, employment references, state and local reports. • Participates in interdepartmental audits of HR practices and systems. • Responsible for managing the documentation of the Quality Reward and Recognition program
