Hume Assassin Rules and Guidelines General Description: Assassin is a game in which everyone is given a target packet including a picture, building (Hume East or West), a floor number, and “Kill”stickers. The object of the game is to “kill” your target by placing a sticker on them without anyone else noticing. (We’ll go into further detail about the rules of killing below). Once you kill your target, you get you take his or her target’s information and that becomes your next target. The object of the game is to be the last person alive or have the most kills at the end of the 10 days. The winner will receive a $50 gift card. To play, you must e-mail in your name, a picture, your building, and floor by Monday the 27th and then attend the info meeting on Tuesday the 28th. Killing: A kill is executed by placing a sticker (supplied by us) onto the target without being witnessed. How the sticker is placed is subject to your creativity but if someone other than the target sees it, it does not count. Rules: 1. In order for a kill to be valid, no one other than the target can witness the physical placement of a sticker on the target. Simply seeing the assassin next to the target does not constitute seeing the kill, but witnessing the placement of the sticker on the target disqualifies the kill. 2. Kills must not take place on the target’s floor unless the assassin has been invited onto the floor BY THE TARGET. Getting invited onto the floor by someone who lives on the floor does not count. It must be the target who does the inviting. 3. Kills cannot take place inside of a target’s classroom. Once the target has entered the classroom, he or she is safe until exiting. 4. No switching targets is allowed. We will have a record of everyone’s targets. 5. Participants must keep their target packet with them at all times when leaving their floor. 6. After a kill, the ASSASSIN must e-mail Hume.Assassin@gmail and report the kill. 7. Any dispute should be handled by emailing the above address with a description of the event. It is the responsibility of both parties to report the dispute so the judges can get a fair view of what occurred. Until a decision is made, play continues as if the kill was disqualified. TARGETS DO NOT ABUSE THIS PRIVILEGE. A good amount of this game is dependent upon the honor code. If you choose to play, please be honest and follow all the rules to ensure a smooth, fun, and enjoyable experience for everyone. Understand that by emailing your information to participate in the game, you are giving permission for this information to be shared with other players. If you do not wish this information to be shared, unfortunately you cannot play.
