Humility is not about devaluing your worth. Its about seeing yourself in the big picture, in light of how big God is. God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! (Isaiah 40:22). When you see Gods immensity, praising him is easy, and thanking him for his blessings is hard to stop. He cares about you, a small grasshopper. And he gives you everything that is good (James 1:17). When we see ourselves and then see God and his goodness to us, obedience is a simple response of gratefulness.
