Hundreds of students and faculty at Northern Kentucky University got an invaluable experience a couple Thursdays ago. Joel spoke at the college October 16, on the graveness of species extinction and how the Photo Ark pushes for awareness and conservation. His lecture was a part of the FotoFocus event held at the university, where numerous Photo Ark portraits have been on display since late September. “Between one generation, you will see 40 percent less than what I’ve seen in my lifetime,” Sartore said at the lecture. “I hope people realize when these species go, so do we.
