I AM MAKING A LIFE STYLE CHANGE 1st I am going to – STAY AWAY FROM ALL PROCESSED FOODS This includes: Most Healthy cereals (Processed Corn), Health Food Bars (Bad Sugars), Margarine (Bad Fat), Packaged foods (Processed), Diet Dressings (Bad Sugars), Concentrated Juices (More Bad Sugars as they took all the healthy stuff out), Whole Wheat Bread, Processed Soy (Milks, etc.), GM’s (Genetically Modified Foods) AND FAST FOOD (Do I really need to list.) I AM MAKING A LIFE STYLE CHANGE 1st I am going to – STAY AWAY FROM ALL PROCESSED FOODS This includes: Most Healthy cereals (Processed Corn), Health Food Bars (Bad Sugars), Margarine (Bad Fat), Packaged foods (Processed), Diet Dressings (Bad Sugars), Concentrated Juices (More Bad Sugars as they took all the healthy stuff out), Whole Wheat Bread, Processed Soy (Milks, etc.), GM’s (Genetically Modified Foods) AND FAST FOOD (Do I really need to list.) The Carbs I am doing Carbohydrates are necessary for energy in the body. IF I decide to exercise, a dense fruit carb, such as a banana can give me the fuel. Carbohydrates, particularly sprouted grains (found in the refrigerated section), whole grain (I didn’t say WHOLE WHEAT I said WHOLE GRAIN) varieties. I will also include modest portions of high Carb foods such as potatoes, carrots, beets, peas, squashes, parsnips, sweet potatoes and corn (not canned). More good carbs include snap beans, green beans or most other vegetables and fruits fresh or frozen. A low carb diet include lemons, limes and berries (except cherries). To ensure balance I will try to include equal amounts of carbs, protein and moderate good fat. Fruits and vegetables are low in calories and fat and ideal to fill me up. Good Fat is Good Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Nuts (non-processed) & Avocados in moderate portions. No more Canola Oil or Margarine for me. If I want a little faster results I will eat more Good low fat, high protein foods: • Lean red meat with visible fat removed • Eggs • Fish (I probably won’t do this unless I find some I like) • Chicken (not the skin) • Low fat dairy such as milk, yogurt and cottage cheese (Avoid enhanced dairy products) • Legumes and beans such as lentils, kidney beans, peas and soy beans • Non processed soy products • Nuts, for example almonds, walnuts, cashews and peanuts • Seeds such as pumpkin, sunflower and flax • Salad (Modest Dressing use) I will eat more than is listed or stated, but I will not eat PACKAGED and NON-PROCESSED food…Processed & Packaged foods include harmful preservatives. I will drink more water and snack lightly in between. I will even eat pork as well as bacon (pat the fat) and other NON PROCESSED FOOD/PACKAGED food, but I will be smart about it. I will also cook protein sources in a healthy way by poaching, grilling, steaming or roasting with a little olive oil or coco oil. And one day a week I am going to spoil myself with junk food (within reason), I will make that Sunday. I don’t want to call this a diet as the weight loss will not happen fast, but little by little, hopefully just last a lot longer.
