I Will Tackle Insecurity, Poverty - Buhari The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has promised to tackle insecurity, poverty, unemployment, bribery and corruption, if elected in February. Buhari made the promise during campaign in Sokoto on Thursday. These are the major problems bedeviling Nigeria now and the moment they are fully tackled, Nigeria will be a better place’’, he added. Buhari, who addressed a mammoth crowd of supporters of the party in Hausa, averred that these social canker-worms were currently the bane of Nigerias socio-economic development. An APC-led federal government will provide more job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths who formed between 60 to 65 per cent of the country’s population. The youths, whether educated or uneducated, will be provided with more jobs by the federal government under me, if elected, he added. Buhari further promised to revitalise agriculture, solid minerals exploration and exploitation, while solid minerals and agro-allied companies will be established. -
