I actually listened to Brands statement here. How is it that this dude has a better grasp on the situation in Ferguson than many that are paid to study it and observe it... and who are qualified to do so by their expertise? Why is it that he is open to express himself about the oppressive condition and its result within our society, when many of us, with voices, that are more directly affected, are curiously silent. Maybe if we all spoke out against the pervasive racist oppression that still exist here, than some of us wouldnt be so frightened about being singled out and disadvantaged. When whites in our business and personal lives interact with us, they should already understand that we are aware of what it means to be black within our society. They are.
