I am beyond words with frustration and anger. Im simply trying to go back to school and get my degree. I have to appeal to the financial aid dept. to get my FAFSA approved but as part of the appeal, they want proof my mother is dead. This is absurd and insulting to me and the memory of my mother. Why would anyone lie about the death of their mother to try to go to school?! I was required to submit a copy of her obituary for review. I also included a scathing letter expressing my distaste for this kind of requirement.
