I am cooking french toast this morning and was wondering where my favorite frying pan was and remembered that it got broken like 3 yrs ago by one of my children (they dropped it on the floor and it broke the handle off, it was super heavy and I was shocked it didnt crack my tile). This has not been to only casualty, I have lost many beloved kitchen tools to mishaps. Pampered Chef pitcher dropped with a whole gallon of tea in it, Princess House platter shattered on the tile floor, Arbys foil wrapper put in the microwave that caught on fire and the most recent $50+ Pampered Chef order that was tossed into the recycling bin (it never even made it to my cabinets). SIGH! I have decided that we as moms cant have nice things until our kids leave the house and these are just kitchen casualties.
