I am finally putting this out here…for a few reasons…for all of you who may have lost someone close - for those of you who are dealing with someone who is ill, and most importantly, because my son was asking about God, Angels and the Devil tonight…back home in Guyana, my uncle would gather all his nieces and nephews from the City every summer and he would take us to my grandmother’s house. She had a HUGE plantation/house and across the street was the ocean. In front of her house was a pond. I didn’t know how to swim – and still don’t. I was probably about 6years old – but I remember this day as if it was yesterday. We were playing in front of her yard and somehow I ended up in the pond. I remember fighting in the water and then all of a sudden – I stopped fighting and I saw a VERY bright light and that tunnel you hear about. Everything felt so peaceful. It was just a few seconds, but it was insane – the feeling. I had almost died (I was pulled out by a neighbourhood kid named Patrick – he always came to spend time with us). I had no idea what that light was at the time. But I never forgot it and now I know. I believe in A GOD – ONE GOD. HE DOES EXIST – SO DOES HEAVEN. So for everyone who has lost someone close – know that they ARE IN A BETTER PLACE…A PEACEFUL PLACE. That was how it felt…freaky …I know…but it happened…
