I am having a middle-of-the-night epiphany, everyone. A crazy idea for your consideration... So, it seems as though many people are rushing to sign up for the $40 temporary education support. At first I was angry, thinking How could so many people want to get their hands on bribe money? But many smart tax payers realize that this money does belong in the education system and they would rather get their hands on the money instead of letting the government keep it. Ive already seen tons of comments from people saying they plan on donating the money to their schools PAC or donating it to teachers who need it. I would love to see a new viral movement happen where -- as much as possible -- the public feels the urge to flip the $40 and give it back to public schools and teachers. It would be a giant slap in the face to CC and Fassbender who ultimately wanted to keep parents quiet and complacent. This would give parents an opportunity to shout, but in a positive and constructive way! How about starting a movement of taking selfless mailing $40 cheques to the teachers strike fund, handing $40 in cash to a PAC president, a teacher on the picket line (for classroom use) or even to a loved one who is in the education system. Give a brief explanation of how youve chosen to donate the money along with the hashtag #backwhereitbelongs or #fortydollarflip. Get your photos and hashtags going viral. The cash will be claimed later, so how you choose to use it is up to you. As far as I know, there is no criteria for claiming the $40 a day, except your childrens ages need to be under 12 years old and that it needs to go towards increased education or supervision (contradictory to the fact that you dont need to provide receipts for either). I would say any monies heading back into the public school system are considered increased education. ;) Im throwing ideas out here. Is this crazy enough that it might catch on? Can anyone refine this idea to make this actually happen??
