I am just learning about permaculture, via Back to Eden, no till, garden. My brain is reeling now, but I have very limited internet or library access. I have 4 projects I would really love guidance with. 1. 1 year old orchard. Planted bare root fruit trees less than a year ago. How do I convert the current space into permaculture space? Its intermixed varieties in a grid pattern. I do not want to dig them up but want to work with what is currently in place to improve it. 2. Started a no till sheet mulch bed in our current garden space. It was a poorly producing tilled it in 2014 (our first garden). It has a layer of cardboard, very little organic compost, a couple inches of fall leaves, old hay (probably too much). I have fresh tree trimming mulch to add still. I also have access to horse stall manure. Photo of garden bed in comments. How much mulch should I put on top? Should I use the horse manure? How much? My goats and bunnies do not have enough poop currently to cover the space. 3. Herb garden: standard bed or spiral? 4. I have berry canes in the ground. Planted before I started learning about permaculture. What do I do now?
