I am just over the moon about our field trip today! On Xs birthday, he was NOT feeling anything or any type of adventure. Today, he was far more receptive and willing to at least try most of the things at the museum. He got a little overwhelmed by the space shuttle (its HUGE) but other than that, he was great! For most people, a trip to a museum or going to restaurants for meals are fairly trivial. But for an autistic child, it can be EXTREMELY challenging, frightening and hard on a family. In the car, I told him that he shouldnt be afraid because I wasnt going to leave him. I think he finally understands what that means. Im so proud of him I could cry! :-D #BraveLittleLion #AutismRocks
