I am sitting at the airport feeling contemplative...I left my dad - TopicsExpress

I am sitting at the airport feeling contemplative...I left my dad settled in his final earthly home - Victoria Hospice - the kindness they have shown him in the first 24 hours is amazing...to which I say Thank you Jesus. I left my mom knowing the next time I see her she will be a widow. The nurse invited her to help with my dads sponge bath today. It was a time of tenderness for her...a gift from God. All I could think was how Jesus broken body was handled by those who loved him. At 2:19 this morning I could not fathom walking away...yet God gave me incredible peace when the time came. For unknown reasons I knew it was time for me to go. I feel immeasurable joy in the knowledge that very soon dad will be giving Cathy a kiss and hug and telling her how much I love her and miss her. Hospitals are filled with hurting people ... Several times this week I was able to reach out in love because of the amazing story God etched in our lives through Cathys life and death. I ask you to pray for an anonymous family I have never met as they lay their 28 year old daughter to rest after a drowning accident this week. She was a co-worker of the nurses at Victoria General Hospital. I gave one of the nurses a copy of my book to give to her parents in the hope that in some way God will use our story to touch their lives. Thank you ALL for your prayers and notes of encouragement..they have blessed me.
