I am so Farmers Boulevard Queens NY, that me and a small group of middle school kids were the first to integrate 231 annex. 2 guys and 3 girls had to make it back and forth to Rosedale from Farmers. Everyday was a struggle. I fought everyday. The white kids and families would try to jump us in Brookfield Park. We made Eyewitness News when all the students in the school and their families jumped the 5 of us at the bus stop. The 5 of us held all of them off and had to be escorted for two weeks by Police. I began teaching some of my persecuted fellow 5 and we had no more problems after that. Scary times and we fought for our lives. We are all still here. GOD is good. To this very day, I ask myself what was my mom thinking??????
