I am so irate right now.... Ive been telling myself for a long time now, that I must do a pdf on professional packing and put it up for sale in my etsy shop and I feel such an urgency to do so right now. Unbelievable the package that arrived today in the mail. Im all into reduce, reuse, recycle, but at a certain point, its just ridiculous and absurd. This woman must have nothing to bring to the curb on trash night, because she sent it all to me. :( Number one! If you ship dollhouse miniature furniture, the first thing you should use is the small bubble wrap to wrap the furniture. No one wants things shipped in used food cartons. If you must, turn the box inside out, I dont care to know your cracker preference. Used food wrappers are never a good idea! Ive had boxes arrived crushed, miniatures broken... so many different types of packing materials inside that it looks like trash (though today takes the cake) never use packing peanuts! they stick to everything and leave a mess! Never add glittery stuff, or confetti! no one wants that all over the floor! Ugh, gah! grrrrr..... grrrrrrr!!!!! ahhhhhh grrrrrr!!!!!! I have been professionally packing at almost every job I have had since college. I have never had anything arrive crushed or broken. I use recycled when possible, but everything is always clean, more often than not, it is new packaging, because of the volume of sales I have had. I wrap like it is a gift, it is, one you have given yourself! I have no more words, but I better start writing a packing how to, as there are so many that could benefit from it. Some might even get free copies! gah!
