I am so sorry that our commercial truckers will have to experience a delay at the southbound I-5 Santiam rest area this coming Friday, June 14th. The truck park closure that was planned for today has been delayed. The closure will most likely occur this Friday, June 14th. We have revised the construction schedule due to a major mechanical function. We have heard from our construction contractor that a major piece of repaving equipment has experienced mechanical failure. We will update this information as it becomes available. The good news is: The passenger vehicle parking lot construction has been completed.
