I am usually pretty coherent about my blessings, though sometimes - TopicsExpress

I am usually pretty coherent about my blessings, though sometimes I become immune to them. This weekend my Aunt Laura Stout said something that made me appreciate my life all over again. My mom was joking about the chaos, our five kids plus two sweet little cousins (4 and 5 years old) the dogs, the cat, the madness...the beads. My aunts response was something along the lines of, theres nothing wrong with whats going on in this house. It feels good being here. It does feel good here. Our home is never silent--talking, screaming, television, video games, music, singing, dancing, flying helicopters, horses neighing, wolves howling, two-legged dogs running. Our home is never lacking laughter, even when there is fighting. There is calm voices when needed, and hugs never run out-but our house is never still. It is always rolling. I am grateful for the fun life we are blessed with. I hope that when our children are grown we will all pile together at the table and laugh about the craziness: flying tackles of dogs, Christmas light struggles, games of telephone at the dinner table. I hope the good memories never run out for our kids, I hope they remember life growing up as fun; crazy, but stable and fun. When we burst out into the world each day, heading for our different destinations, I imagine the house taking a deep breath, regrouping for the day, and saying, Bring it on, Cartel. Im ready for round two.
