I am very excited to be showcased with these incredible artists! I have created a site specific installation for the Griffin about Colony Collapse Disorder called Disappearance. The piece will change during the exhibition period. White roses on a bed of bee pollen will wither and die. The tintypes of bees, on a bed of red velvet, are priced @ $36/ 2 plate. As people buy the bee plates the bees disappear so the action of the buyers is part of the piece. I want to thank Frances Jakubek for installing Disappearance for me and Paula Tognarelli for offering me the opportunity and for her invaluable support! If you are or will be in the Boston area please come to the opening tomorrow evening Thursday the 23rd from 7-8:30 pm. I will be in attendance weather permitting.
