I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. (Ephesians 3:7-12 NIV) Paul gives us a look at our purpose in these scriptures. To make plain the administration of the mystery which in ages past was kept hidden. What was the mystery??? That Gods boundless riches was available to Everyone notice verse 9. The Gentiles had access to Gods grace now. The two had become one Ephesians 2.15. Back to chapter 3 notice verse 11 says it was Gods eternal purpose in Christ. Verse 12 we have boldness, why??? We are coming in Christ righteousness to God not our righteousness. Verse 12 says with confidence we have access by faith in Him. What a awesome thing to think on this morning it was always Gods eternal purpose for us to be born again, then to make this revelation known to all men, EVERYONE, on verse 9.
