I believe that it is safe to assume that extending gratitude and showing appreciation is beneficial to all persons involved, but sometimes, it isnt the easiest thing to accomplish. • With everybodys situation in life being different, there are times when it seems that there is less and less to be appreciative about. Whether it be your current financial situation, a family crisis, or some type of current event, being gracious to others is not always the easiest thing to do. Faced with various types of adversity in your current situation in life and as you feel overwhelmed and maybe stressed, is it still possible for you to be grateful to others? • Sometimes it is more difficult to find the good in a situation then others, but despite this fact, it may be beneficial to try and determine some good in everything that may seem bad. In doing this, the benefits of showing appreciation and gratitude may help to bring a sense of fulfillment into your life, while changing your current state of mind. Doing this in a genuine manner over time surely will have more benefits then drawbacks, as it always seems that this type of gratitude finds a way to come back around in life. • This is where staying focused becomes the key as you can actually change your life by instilling these differences from within. In time, these differences bring an innate response within yourself to stay focused on rational reasons to extend a gratuitous behavior and show appreciation. • Learning to be thankful in life • We all have something in our life that we instinctively take for granted as this has been filtered into our normal routines of life! No matter where we are, and regardless of what we might be going through, the things that we seem to take for granted we should instead, be grateful for. The hard part in this is remaining in a position in life of where we can display this gratuitous behavior, and to continually look for reasons to extend it to others. • This may, or may not be what comes naturally to you, but with time and persistent actions, we can all develop the notion of gratitude fueled with honest afflictions of appreciation. • Does this describe you or make you think of anybody that you may know? • Do you know anyone that seems to not have a mean bone in their entire body? Have you said something like this at some point in time when you continuously witnessed these constant gratuitous acts? Someone who always sees the glass as half full instead of almost empty with nothing left to refill it? Does the stigma of being around that person literally seem to run off on you? Doesnt your entire persona and character change just from being around or associating with this person? • Looking at this from another standpoint; Do you know someone who seems to only see the negative in every situation? What does this sort of negativity do to you? This negative attitude seems to infect everyone around, and in time, everyone around has the same opinions and outlooks on life. Before long, this shared perspective becomes the only one that truly exists. • Your acquaintances can make all the difference. • When trying to honestly develop this consistent and innate feeling of gratitude and appreciation in life, surround yourself with others who have the same outlook. Reduce time with others who have this negative outlook, and try and spend more time around those who have a positive outlook. Be conscientious with who your acquaintances are as this will help you to develop the sense of gratitude and appreciation that you are seeking. • After taking the time of surrounding ourselves with others who will help us foster this attitude, what next? • Empower yourself to notice the good in as much as you possibly can. • Take the time to start a new habit, but treat it like its a hobby. The hobby of trying to find the good in everything, everyone, and more importantly, life itself. • After reading this, take a moment, reflect, and then ask yourself the following question, What are you thankful for? • Stay happy always, Love Peace and Blessings, ~ Morning Dove ~
