I believe that this picture would have been taken about 1972 or early 1973, most of the people in the shot are Cal Poly Architect/Engineering students but some of us were locals. This picture was taken by Brian Lawler up on San Luis Mountain as part of an advertising campaign for Mountain Sports. We all worked for Mountain Sports and or SLO Transit Authority. Mountain Sports a ski and backpacking store was located at 858 Higuera and the bike shop, SLO Transit Authority, was on the corner of Chorro and Monterey. We had a lot of fun on a cool Sunday afternoon doing that photo shoot. A few years later after a fire the store was sold and became Mountain Air Sports.
