I came across this little fellow while walking today and am wondering if someone can help ID it. I know the photos arent particularly good but...I like to show a lot of respect to these guys by not getting close. I believe I heard it rattle as it crossed the path- however, the gentleman walking nearby said he doubted it was a rattler or poisonous. I *think it may have been a rock rattler- as its nearly green in color. But, I admit, Im a recent transplant from the east coast and am not familiar with the local fauna.
