I came to an appreciation of Gods smile quite late in life. I had a cognitive knowledge of His love , but no appreciative knowledge. I thought mainly of my duties ,not of my privileges as a child of God. Today I try to live in a childlike spirit ,honoring Gods love with my joy , being happy with Him as much as is humanly possible for me. At times I revert back to my former ways and let fear take over.,but I fight back and the attacks are mild and short lived. The more I look for ways to delight the Lord the easier I find it to free of needless worry since I know God loves me most tenderly. I honor His love with a joyful heart, and nothing is going to take that away from me. I have taken responsibility for maintaining my own happiness in good season and bad. With the help of Gods grace I will never allow anything to poison the delicious joy I feel deep within me. Beneath the sound of a thousand crickets chirping in my ear, I have a sweet peace in the knowledge that my offering is pleasing to the Jesus.. A little fear may be a good thing. The book of Proverbs calls fear the beginning of wisdom. But fear is only the beginning , mature wisdom no longer dwells on fear. We need balance in order to become healthy and holy people.
